Day 7 - Something I've Worn Today...

Dear Audrey

I really had to think about todays challenge - something I've worn...?

After much thought I decided to take a picture of my favourite perfume (Lovely - by Sarah Jessica Parker), I wear it on special occasions or just when I need a little pick me up!

I wore it on my wedding day so just one spray always engulfs me in such wonderful feelings and memories!

Day 6 - 5 PM...

Dear Audrey

Todays challenge was '5 PM' - I decided to take a picture of whatever I was doing at exactly that time.

After putting you down for a nap and finishing off a spot of cleaning, I took the opportunity for a quick coffee break and as the clock struck 5PM I took a picture of this - mmm, coffee! (In case things change, I am and have been for some time renowned for a slight coffee addiction). :)

Day 5 - A Smile...

Dear Audrey

Todays key word was 'a smile' - so when you got into my suitcase to hide, I couldn't resist a picture! (You always know how to make me smile)!

Day 4 - Bedside...

Dear Audrey

Todays challenge was to take a picture with the word 'bedside' in mind - very inventively I took a picture of my bedside table!

Tomorrows word is 'a smile' - stay tuned!

Photo a Day Challenge...

Dear Audrey

A friend recently recommended a wonderful challenge she stumbled across on a website called Fat Mum Slim (found here).

The challenge is to take a picture for each day of the month with the topic of the day in mind. Topics are as follows for March:

As it is the 4th of March already I am getting a move on and beginning today - for the rest of the month I will upload my picture for the day as per the above topic.

Wish me luck!!

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo...

Dear Audrey

I have recently been hunting for a winter coat as a present for your upcoming birthday and all of the winter stock had just started coming out. As you grow so quickly it wasn't worth spending a fortune on a jacket that would only last one season, however I still wanted something sturdy and stylish looking for you.

Of all places I stumbled across a really lovely designed and well made silk lined red coat with a gorgeous white and red polka dot lined hood in Best and Less - however the buttons really let it down as they were a cheap yellow/brown colour stitched on with a similar coloured thread. I decided to buy the jacket anyway and redesign it slightly, that way it would be a unique piece no one else had!

After purchasing the jacket I headed directly for the fabric store for new buttons and a gorgeous little dog appliqué.

When I arrived home I cut off the six original buttons and replaced them with red shiny buttons with a matching red thread. I also simply ironed on the appliqué on the top corner of the jacket.

With all the discounts applied this unique little piece came to no more than $30!

So you don't need to spend a fortune or have a fairy godmother for something unique, just try to be a little creative and keep an eye out for a well priced, quality piece!

A delightful surprise...

Dear Audrey

Today was like any other day driving home from the shops, that was until Daddy spotted a giant slide!! We pulled over to look in amazement at the longest slide either of us had ever seen.

Naturally we got you out of the car and decided we HAD to have a go and take you down with us. You loved slides, so it would be silly not to really!! Hehe!

As you and Daddy reached the top, you peered down at me ready to go with a giant smile across your face. I quickly counted you down and off you both went. I braced my self, camera ready for you both to come flying past me.

Keeping in mind it was a VERY hot day (so Daddy was wearing shorts and thongs) you didn't quite fly down as I had imagined, you were in fact stuck half way. Long story short you walked the rest of the way.

The day wasn't a totally loss though, as the rest of the play equipment and surrounding park land was a hit!

In the end our totally spontaneous spotting, had turned into quite a lovely afternoon, just in time to get home for dinner!

Hopefully the first of many!
